Keeping a clean driving record is the best way to save your money. Your driving record plays a key factor when applying for auto insurance. The cleaner your record, the better your rate, the more money you will save.

When you contact the insurance company and they acquire your drivers abstract, they look to see how your driving record has been in the past.

When they see a a conviction on your record they immediately increase your rate, when they see more than 2 or 3, chances are either your rate will be very high, or worse they might not even insure you, for any amount.
